This forward-thinking company was the first in the fresh and refrigerated category to be distributed across North America. More than 3 million “pet parents” now use Freshpet’s food purchased from its retail network of 22,000 refrigerators across North America. The company has annual growth rate around 30% and it has recently invested in a new Pilot Plant and R&D capabilities. This success is based on product innovation and the vision to make our products fresh, authentic, and differentiated from traditional dry and canned pet foods.
The Position
We have an open position for an internship in our R&D department to help support new Product Developments, new Ingredient Developments and Process Improvements. The duration of the internship is flexible but expected to be around 10 weeks, from May to August 2021.
The internship will provide opportunities to work within the R&D department on product innovation, while interacting with most other company departments (Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Marketing, Packaging…).
The internship will be based in Bethlehem, PA. The successful candidates will be expected to show a genuine drive to make better pet foods and pass an interview selection process. Compensation will be around $18 per hour.
